Searches of assassinated opposition leader began immediately after death

Investigators are seizing documents in an apartment of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, who was killed on Friday night, a source with law enforcement agencies told Interfax.

Having completed the examination of the crime scene on Bolshoi Moskvoretsky bridge in downtown Moscow near the Kremlin, investigators came to Nemtsov's apartment on Malaya Ordynka street which overlooks the bridge from the crime scene.

Some opposition figures say the search was to find and eliminate any evidence of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which Nemtsov claimed to have in his possession.
